Independent one-site screening
ClimateCheck alternatives for data center site risk analysis
If your data center decision needs more than a physical climate-hazard report, consider a separate site screen. AI Data Center Impact brings available local climate, water, grid, community and permit evidence into one record, with sources and clear limits.

Our Site Viability Scorecard is an option for local site screening, not a drop-in replacement for ClimateCheck. Keep specialist climate-hazard projections where they are needed, and use the scorecard to identify the local questions that need deeper review.
Site Viability Scorecard: $495 for one site. Scope and delivery are agreed before purchase.
A different job from physical climate projections
ClimateCheck describes physical-hazard data for properties and portfolios, including current and future exposure. Its published methodology includes multiple emissions scenarios and projections through 2050.
Our one-site screen puts available climate and water context alongside Community Fit, nearby grid assets and permit conditions. It does not reproduce ClimateCheck’s hazard models, forecast future losses or claim greater accuracy.
The local questions the scorecard helps organize
Climate and water: what do the available sources say about heat, drought, air quality and cooling-related water needs? Which dates and coverage gaps affect those findings?
Grid context: which nearby assets and public records inform the site review? Proximity does not establish utility capacity or a connection offer.
Community and permits: what local conditions and public records need attention? Evidence of public activity is not proof of support, a forecast of opposition or a permit decision.
What you receive for one site
A Site Viability Scorecard and a PDF report with sources. Use the findings, evidence scale, dates and limitations to prepare follow-up questions and preserve a record of the screen.
Approximate coordinates do not establish parcel boundaries. Exact-parcel reports require a validated location, and evidence detail varies by site and source.
Supplemental emergency services, noise, sensitive-site and workforce context may appear where evidence is available. Those signals do not change the composite Site Viability score or compliance certificate.
Start with the site and the decision
Submit an address or map point with the project context and the question you need to resolve. The team confirms location precision, coverage, report scope, user limits and delivery before purchase.
The Community Engagement Playbook is separate from the scorecard. A Site Readiness Package can pair the two for the same site; analyst help and timing must match the agreed scope.
Use the screen to decide what to check next with utilities, engineers, legal advisers and local teams. It cannot confirm supply, readiness, approval or financial outcomes.
Frequently asked questions
Is AI Data Center Impact a drop-in replacement for ClimateCheck?
No. ClimateCheck describes physical climate-hazard analysis, including future projections. AI Data Center Impact offers a separate one-site screen of available local climate, water, grid, community and permit evidence. The tools can complement each other when a project needs both kinds of review.
When should a data center team consider this alternative?
Consider the Site Viability Scorecard when a candidate site needs a sourced record of local conditions, unknowns and next questions. Keep a specialist climate-risk product in scope when the decision requires future physical-hazard or emissions-scenario analysis.
Does the scorecard forecast future climate losses?
No. The scorecard uses sourced screening evidence and climate context; it does not reproduce ClimateCheck’s future hazard models or forecast financial losses. Versioned screening and sensitivity analysis are not climate forecasting.
Can the scorecard confirm utility capacity, water supply or permit approval?
No. Nearby infrastructure and public records identify questions for deeper review. Confirm capacity, water service, engineering feasibility and permits through the utility, relevant authorities and professional studies. Missing evidence is not proof of a favorable condition.
How do I request a scorecard, and is the playbook included?
Start with a site inquiry and review the current one-site price. Scope, location precision, user limits, analyst help and delivery are confirmed before purchase. The Community Engagement Playbook is a separate product, with a bundle option available; requesting information does not start a trial, subscription or checkout.
Where does GRESB fit in a broader data center diligence workflow?
GRESB describes a dedicated sustainability assessment for data center development and operations, including energy, water and community engagement. That is a separate deliverable from physical-hazard analysis or our one-site evidence screen. Keep the required assessment in scope; the Site Viability Scorecard does not replace a GRESB rating, benchmark or submission.
