High Viability
The refreshed assessment
Higher is better for the composite Site Viability Score. Exposure sub-scores below run in the opposite direction: lower means lower modeled exposure. Neither is a probability of approval or a confirmation that power or water is available.
What drives the assessment
Climate & Emissions Exposure
37 / 100 · Moderate exposure
Six refreshed inputs, including live EIA annual electricity-sales growth of 7.5% for 2021–2025. Regional context is not a project emissions inventory.
Grid & Power Exposure
45 / 100 · Moderate exposure
Old Hickory is 8.8 miles from the scored point, with 103.7 MW of published generation nameplate capacity. Plant proximity is supporting evidence, not committed site capacity.
Water Supply Risk
16 / 100 · Low exposure
RadiusDC specifies closed-loop cooling designed to use little to no water. The regional water screen remains separate from measured project consumption.
Regulatory & Legislative Exposure
19 / 100 · Low exposure
Contextual screening with Community Readiness at 32/100 (Moderate). This is not proof of community support or approval.
Project context
First evaluated while listed as “Proposed” in our platform. RadiusDC's September 4, 2025 announcement describes the project's groundbreaking. This is a current-vintage site assessment, not a pre-construction prediction or a validation study.
Dates, sources and limitations
- Report issued October 23, 2026. Weather, AQI and live EIA demand-growth evidence were refreshed for this assessment.
- Grid carbon uses a static eGRID 2024 estimate. This is regional generation context, not a project-specific emissions inventory.
- Demand growth uses live EIA annual electricity sales for Tennessee: 7.5% across 2021–2025. The revised sample requires live evidence rather than a static fallback.
- Nearest qualifying operating generation: Old Hickory, 8.8 miles away, 103.7 MW published nameplate capacity. Source: EIA operating-plant inventory, 2026-08. This supporting lookup does not change the signed regional grid score or establish a load-service commitment.
- Cooling design: RadiusDC's September 4, 2025 specification describes closed-loop cooling designed to use little to no water. This is an operator design statement, not measured consumption or a water-provider commitment.
- Supplemental emergency response, receptor, labor and power-feasibility sections remain separate from the composite, as described in the report.
